Romy Foods welcomes new distribution HUB in South Africa
Romy Foods Corporation is thrilled to welcome its newest national distribution HUB, located in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. With months of successful operation already completed, September 2 marked the official media launch and inauguration of the first Romy Foods® foodservice network franchise on the African continent.
The South African HUB launched earlier this year providing ready meals to the renowned, luxury boutique hotel Villa Tuscana in Port Elizabeth. This new HUB's team is a tight-knit group of experienced professionals. Beverley Zonneveld, the Director of Sales & Marketing at Romy Foods South Africa has deep roots in the hospitality industry. She previously held the positions of General Manager at the Mantis Group and Director of Sales & Marketing at Radisson BLU in Port Elizabeth. She has also held leading roles at guest house and travel agency operations. Zonneveld has hands-on experience and a deep understanding of food & beverage, hospitality operations, and the challenges faced by those industries, from providing consistently excellent quality to leveraging the opportunities available in new packaging and provisioning technologies.

We’re excited to see those numbers turning from projections to real results so quickly. We’re also deeply moved to be instrumental in expanding the Romy Foods global food programme, A Meal for a Meal, to South Africa. This initiative has provided almost 1.5 million meals to children in need in Uganda and we are implementing the first phase of the programme here to a community centre in the Jacksonville/Timothy Valley area.”
