Highlights – Romy Foods Annual Conference 2018
We are excited to announce that the 4th Romy Foods Annual Conference was a real success!
This year the conference, spread over two days, was held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Valletta, the European Capital of Culture 2018.
On the first day we focused on our B2B brand BonCulina and our CSR initiative A Meal for A Meal, whereas on the second day the highlights were the FiffiS brand, food manufacturing and how to optimise business successfully as a Hub operator. During the second day ample space was allocated for real-time workshops to allow participants to network and contribute directly towards the business development of the Romy Foods network.
“The interesting thing for me during the 2018 Romy Foods Conference is the development from last year. More people, more stakeholders, more partners; this business is growing at a rate quite far from my expectations” – Mike Iddon, Director Romy Foods UK.
Over the past years we have worked hard to build up the Romy Foods concept and we felt elated to share our work with all attendees as we strongly believe everyone plays an important role in the Romy Foods journey.
During the 3rd annual conference in 2017, we provided a knowledge-sharing platform combining branding, foodservice, packaging and technology resulting in the smart and innovative Romy Foods concept. The BonCulina and Fiffis brands were also launched and opportunities for growth identified. One year later, the market has warmed up, the Romy Foods portal’s main functionality is ready to use and the focus area is to feed the system with sufficient products for all countries, sectors and brands. The first industrial contracts are underway and about to commence.
An impressive speaker line-up made up of industry experts provided the opportunity to exchange case-studies and expertise. Amongst the speakers, there were relevant names such as Andy Jones, brand global ambassador for BonCulina and Alexander Carter Silk, the Romy Foods’ trusted advisor and Head of European Intellectual Property at Brown Rudnick to name but a few.
“The market is looking for innovation, for something that delivers consistency and value for money and the BonCulina brand absolutely typifies that. This is not just about the UK, this is about a global brand.” – Andy Jones, brand global ambassador for BonCulina.
We had a great time at the conference and we would like to THANK YOU all for your active participation and contribution to make the Romy Foods annual conference 2018 such a fruitful event.
